In the Podcast “Betrayal!” Tim and LeeAnna reveled in the glories of betrayal, broken trust, and sheer stupidity (and sometimes drunkenness).
Which brings a fresh challenge for you writers. The prompt: Keep it under 600 words.
Write about a main character who builds their trust in another person. And yet within that trust there is the foreshadowing of an ultimate betrayal. You don't have to touch too much on what the betrayal actually is, just focus on the trust aspect.
Or write about a character who has been betrayed, but the betrayer is trying to cover up their involvement.
Write whatever inspires you—just make sure it’s under 600 words. Pop it over to us through the submissions page. Who knows, maybe we'll even feature it on the podcast. Extra points if you can write a cooler version of “he felt the metaphorical knife slide in between his ribs.”
