In the Podcast “Deflated” Tim and LeeAnna laugh their way through a dinner party tragedy that Tim’s brother had, then laugh their way through a different tragedy for the Winter Olympics committee
Tim has a brand new challenge for you writers out there. The prompt is as usual: Keep it under 600 words.
Imagine the chicken curry disaster dinner from the podcast. Write it from the perspective of Tim’s brother or the instigator, Ed, or as an uncomfortable spectator. Ot just write any other fun deflation that you want. Or your favorite dish, maybe when the expectations have been raised, that it's going to be the “best dish ever.” And then let that play out.
Or the drama and comedy of Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics committee; the individual who's leading the tender and getting the bids has to break the news to the head of the committee that no bits have come in! We are leaning a little bit on the comedic side here, but you could also write it as tragedy.
Write whatever inspires you—just make sure it’s under 600 words. Pop it over to us through the submissions page. Who knows, maybe we'll even feature it on the podcast. Definitely extra points if you include an English cowboy.
