Writer's Prompts | Quantum Entanglement

In the Podcast “Quantum Entanglement” Tim and LeeAnna have fun with the spooky science that is too much fun to ignore.

Which brings a fresh challenge for you writers, but as I said in the podcast there's so much potential in this topic, so much fun you can have dreaming up something wild and showing it off. The prompt, as usual: Keep it under 600 words.

There are two people. They're separated by decision of one of the people who has said, “I can't be in this life/” And they could be siblings, lovers, some other entangled relationship. They cannot communicate with each other along the lines of, “you must never contact me, and I will never contact you.” One day, one of the entangled people feels something extraordinary: that the partner in the entanglement is very sick or dying or in great danger. How do they feel? What do they do? Do they break this pact of non-communication? And of course, where did that pact come from? Maybe even go back to how they became entangled in the first place?

Or write about an energy vampire and have some fun with that. Make it comedic.

Or write about a fascinating older lady and some of her amazing stories; and throw in some entanglement.

Write whatever inspires you—just make sure it’s under 600 words. Pop it over to us through the submissions page. Who knows, maybe we'll even feature it on the podcast. Extra points if you can write a totally new use of Quantum Entanglement in storytelling (though of course you might want to keep that to yourself).
